The Curvy Road

The Curvy Road

I counted the long hot summery days,
One at a time in reverse orders.

I kept staring at the clock,
Wishing the hands to speed up the time
and cross those borders.

Curves of the roads and maps of the rivers,
reached in the distant destination,
in desperation with separation,

My renegade heart singed her own tune,
Craved your love and begged to be back out there with you.

But lost in the land of the green,
Thinking of you and imaginin,
Holding hands and searching for our common future,
Our hearts, souls and minds unitin

My love growing deeper and deeper,
Imagining a future with you stronger and stronger.

And the hope,
To hug and love you FOREVER
sometimes fainted, sometimes brightened

In the search for the bright lights of joy,
saw the painted smiles and your warmth on my heart
ever so smoothly, one frame at a time
I still believed in our future,
one day at a time, one frame at a time.
